Description
UPMC Western Maryland is a voluntary nonprofit, short term acute care hospital with 240 Medicare certified beds and a member of the Western Maryland Health System.
Case Assignments
Cases include, but are not limited to, Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and OB/GYN with a care team model.
CRNA's are encouraged to perform regional blocks at this location.

UPMC Western Maryland has a strong team of CRNA's and MD's that work together seamlessly. The facility offers a variety of cases for CRNA's to keep their skills up, with flexible scheduling and the option to pick up extra shifts.
Schedules Include:
8's, 10's, 12's and 24's (when available)
In house call and beeper call is available

Drivable distance to 3 major cities: Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington DC
Near a variety of local state parks including Rocky Gap State Park and Green Ridge State Forest

Responsibilities
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
Current license as a registered professional nurse
Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
