HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital Highland, an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, provides proven-effective care to more than 35,000 residents in portions of Madison county and surrounding communities. HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital is a small critical access hospital performing routine low-risk surgery.
Case Assignments
Ortho, general surgery, GI, Cataracts, GU, Occasional GYN. Peds (only ENT cases 1 day every other month with an MDA) No OB.
Shifts
M-F 7 am-3:30 pm.
Call 1 and 3 with 1 hour response time.
CRNA only site
CRNAs will be required to be credentialed at a sister hospital (Holy Family Greenville) to occasionally do cataracts and GI. This hospital is about 20 minutes from Highland.

Responsibilities
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
Current license as a registered professional nurse
Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
